A very colorful new entry at Herpa Wings: founded in 1972 in Montpellier in southern France, Air Littoral is one of the largest and oldest European regional carriers. In 1995, it was one of the first airlines to introduce the modern Regional Jet built by Bombardier to Europe.

Atlantic Southeast Airlines was founded in 1979, operating regional flights from Atlanta, Georgia. A close partnership with Delta Air Lines began to develop in 1981 and resulted in its complete takeover by the US mega carrier in 1999. By 2003, ASA will home acquired fifty-five Canadair CRJ-200ERs, including the original of this model, registration N849AS, which was purchased in 1999. It is one of just a handful of the fleet's planes which carry a special livery, this aircraft impressively depicting Atlanta's skyline and Stone Mountain.

Since 2001, this small Chinese airline from Hong Kong has flown charter and scheduled flights to destinations that have been neglected by the big companies. Its first destination was Loag in the Philippines, and now, CR Airways also flies to Angkor in Cambodia. B-KBJ comes as a limited edition of 1,500 pieces.

This Canadair Jet CRJ200 is the youngest member of the fleet operated by one of the largest regional airlines in Europe. The original with the registration D-ALIT joined the airline in 2001.

The regional subsidiary of Japan Air Lines, based in Hiroshima since 1991, operates a fleet consisting solely of CRJ-200ERs. It boasts eight aircraft of this type. The original of the Wings model with the registration JA205J was commissioned in March 2003, as the airline’s fifth airplane.

As N466AW, the Canadair CRJ-200 is operated by United to carry out flights for partner companies. Even though the airline has currently sought shelter under Chapter Eleven of the US bankruptcy laws, it remains sufficiently optimistic to treat itself to a beautiful new livery, which appears on this new model.

Almost twenty years have passed since the foundation of American Airlines regional flight subsidiary, and with more than 300 airplanes, it has itself become one of the world's big airlines. The huge fleet's flagship is the CRJ-700ER, of which a total of twenty-five will be operated by mid-2004. The original of our model, registration N500AE, was the first Bombardier plane ever registered for American Eagle.

Today's sister company of Alaska Airlines was founded in Seattle in 1981, and served Pan Am and Northwest as a feeder to their international networks. In 1986, the Alaska Air group took over the majority of Horizon's shares. Since then, Horizon has become the most important regional airline in the northwestern USA. The original of our model, registered N604QX, was introduced in December 2001 as the fourth of a total of twentyeight regional jets of its type.

With a combination of full service and low prices, the airline from Graz has been holding its own against Austrian Airlines since Spring 2003. Indeed, Styrian Spirit has become a constant on the Austrian and even Slovenian air traffic, with one CRJ-200 even based in Maribor. The original of the model is the only CRJ-700ER so far, and was delivered in June 2005 with the registration OE-LSF.

Since 2008, American Airlines and its regional subsidiary American Eagle have been supporting the largest anti breast-cancer organization worldwide "Susan G. Komen for the Cure". To emphasize this dedication, some of the airline’s airplanes are decorated with the organization’s pink bow symbol.

Herpa is premiering an Embraer ERJ-145 in the 1/500 scale in British Airways livery. In 1997, the original of this new limited-edition model was commissioned by the former British Regional Airlines with the registration G-EMBC. Soon after, it was transferred to BA CitiExpress, and then also temporarily operated by BA Connect until it was finally added to the fleet of the British low-cost airline Flybe. In October 2007, the Embraer ERJ-145 was taken out of service, and sold to Port One on the Cayman Islands in March 2008.

The subsidiary Aeroméxico Connect, previously Aerolitoral operates a regional connection network for its parent company Aeroméxico. The airline operates four Embraer 190-100LRs, among them the original of this limited model novelty with the registration XA-CAC which has been in service since the beginning of last year.

After the launch of the Embraer 170 in the 1/500 and 1/400 scale, now the second Brazilian E-Jet Embraer 190 has found its way into the Herpa Collection. Canada’s national airline has no less than 45 machines of the type 190-100AR in operation today. The original of this model with the registration C-FGLW was registered as one of the first E-190s in March 2006 and is operated domestically as well as on routes to the USA.

Even up north, the Brazilian twinjet regional airplane is doing a roaring trade. With no alternatives on offer from established manufacturers, Finnair has ordered twenty-three Embraer E-Jets, thirteen of them as 190-100LRs. OH-LKI arrived in Helsinki in October 2005. The model will be released as a limited edition with laterally mounted wings.

The regional subsidiary of the Dutch KLM has ordered ten Embraer 190-100LRs which will be delivered to the airline until 2010. The original of this model with the registration PH-EZI was the first EFJ-190 added to the fleet in November 2008. The model will be delivered with rubber tires.
