The delivery of the world’s largest aircraft has meanwhile been postponed for a third time, but that did not keep the Australian Qantas from increasing its order of twelve machines by another eight examples. With the registration VH-OQA, the first A380-800 is supposed to be delivered to Qantas in 2009, after a two year delay. At least the prototype is already flying today in the colors of the very popular airline famous for its perfect safety record. At Herpa, the VH-OQA is already flying, too, in the 1/500 Wings Collection.

The Australian Queensland and Northern Territory Air Service has become one of the world's most renowned airlines. And its three jets carrying special liveries inspired by the art of the Australian Aborigines have certainly done the airline's popularity no harm. Our latest model is of the Boeing 737-838 with the registration VH-VXB, named "Yananyi Dreaming", comes as a limited edition of 3,000.

"Nalanji Dreaming" is the second flying work of art which the Australian Qantas has introduced in 1975 to celebrate its 75th anniversary. Like the "Wunala Dreaming" (item #511865), this plane with such an exceptional livery, registered VH-EBU.

This model carries more than sixty individual imprints, making it one of the most original in Herpa Wings' 1/500 collection. The exactly 1,324 irregular dots on the fuselage have been reproduced in detail, they symbolize the creational myth of the Kangaroo.

This year we again help to beautify your Christmas season with a Herpa Wings advent calendar. The 2007 calendar contains three, new, limited airplane models in the 1/500 scale, a foil to display a small airport-diorama, adding to the one released last year, and a new airport building.
