  • Description

Originally intended as a Soviet counterpart to the US Air Force's B-1 strategic bomber, the TU-160 was ultimately built, with around three dozen being far fewer than the American type. There are currently around 16 TU-160s in service, all stationed at Engels Bomber Base. This example is named after Vasily Reshetnikov, a highly decorated pilot in World War II and later commander of the Soviet long-range fleet.
