The A310-300 D-AOAA of the German Air Force's government services can be called, in a way, the "Air Force One" of the German government, and flies the German president and leading members of the government to official visits around the globe. However, the plane began its career as the official government jet of the East German head of state and party Erich Honecker. It was in June 1989 that Interflug introduced the jet with the registration DDR-ABA as its government plane.
